If you don’t have anything on your schedule to occupy yourself with for a few hours then you might want to consider video games, movies, or music that keeps you active. If you have a lot of free time then you might want to take some time to find something that will keep you busy in your free time so you don’t feel like you have nothing to occupy yourself with. Another idea would be to go on an exercise routine so you have some exercise to fall asleep to at night.
If you have had a rough day and you really need to get some things done then you may want to consider having someone else do the work. Maybe you could turn it into a family project where each member of the family does a bit of the job for a day and you do it all together. Or, you could all set aside some time each night where you let go of everything you are doing and focus on something else for a few minutes. It really depends on you and what feels right for you.
